ABOUT ASIAN YOUTH SUPPORT NETWORK

Asians are a minority in America and growing up in the Bay Area is a privilege because there is much more diversity. This does not mean discrimination isn't prevalent or that it is no longer important to have conversations about race.

Our goal is to provide a safe environment for Asian youth to share their experiences and have conversations about what it means to be an Asian growing up in the Bay Area. It is often hard to connect to those with who you have nothing in common and so we hope that in our community you can find support in others who understand what you are going through. We will bring in adults to share their perspectives and give advice.

We offer leadership opportunities within our community and other organizations around us. There is also an option to affect the lives of those younger than you who may be experiencing the same things you did, but this time you can offer them guidance through our mentoring program.
